Taxpayers will soon know true cost of pensions

A new law is requiring that governments at all levels disclose the true future costs of public employee pensions and benefits. This will make for some very depressing reading for taxpayers since most of the changes to public employee pensions and benefits are passed very quietly each year and receive very little press, The lobbyists for public employee unions constantly push for small incremental changes each year which, over time, amount to huge future liabilities for taxpayers.

Commercial Appeal has the story.
