Stealing Yard Signs maybe but NOT trucks

A Jimmy Godbee campaign truck was stolen Sunday from outside the Waffle King on Highway 61, according to the Carroll County Sheriff's Office.

Capt. Shane Taylor confirmed that Godbee's son reported the bright orange 1968 Chevrolet pickup - which Godbee said still sported a large campaign poster attached to the bed - missing at 1:55 p.m. Aug. 19. The truck had last been seen at 9 a.m. by Deputy Adrian Lanning.

Godbee is running against fellow Republicans Bill Chappell and John Denney and Democrat Tom Flippo for county commission chairman.
