Memphis Principal arrested on drug charges

(MEMPHIS 2/16/2009) A Memphis City Schools Principal has been arrested on drug charges. 47-year-old Marty Pettigrew, principal at Colonial Middle, has been charged with possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, and speeding.

According to court papers, police pulled Pettigrew over at the corner of Lynchburg and Fieldcrest around 10:15 p.m. Friday night, February 6th.

Officers observed Pettigrew going about eight miles over the speed limit behind the wheel of a Mercedes, when they pulled him over.

Two passengers in the car, Hans Banks and Andre Banks, were also arrested.
