These questions are extraordinarily intrusive. Its not clear what questions are required to be answered and the penalty for not providing an answer.
On page 7a there is this statement:
While these questions are not required by federal law, the following are ways we usethe information: ensuring response accuracy and completeness, contacting respondents with incomplete or missing information, and assigning cases to census operations designed to improve accuracy.
I assume that not answering the succeeding questions, those after page 7a, is lawful.
