Hardin County Sales Tax Reduction Petition Successful

The Hardin County petition (blogged earlier HERE) to put a reduced sales tax on the ballot has been certified by the local election commission.

The County Commission will meet tonight, Monday, and will have two options:

1- reduce the sales tax by 1%

2- Call for an election so the voters can decide.

As expected, local officials are predicting the end of the world as we know it if the sales tax reduction is approved. One official immediately bought an ad. HERE is the coverage from the Savannah Courier.
