Is it a Hate Crime to Hate Congress?

Yes, there are members of Congress I respect but we, the citizens aren't affected by decisions of individual members of Congress.

We are profoundly affected by their collective decision-making and their collective decision making for the last 50 years has been a complete disaster. This institution which was created to serve us has become a parasite on every US family budget.

Congress has been criminally negligent with their financial mismanagement. They have bankrupted OUR federal government. We now have $1 trillion deficits as far as the eye can see and if so-called healthcare reform passes, the deficits will balloon even faster. Government healthcare will join other Congress-created financial disasters like Social Security and Medicare.

And in keeping with their blind, self-righteous, self-aggrandizing arrogance, Congress has absolutely no respect for citizens. The cash for clunkers and all other tax "incentives" are simply vote buying schemes. In all of these schemes Congress treats citizens precisely like rats in a maze, "run over here little citizen-rat and we'll give you some cheese if you act like we want you to." And to add insult to injury they purchase the cheese with our credit card.

And when they leave Congress many members of Congress go on to earn millions as lobbyists.

This is a despicable institution....why would anyone NOT Hate Congress?

The most important, single, sacred obligation of Congress to each and every citizen is to preserve our freedom and liberty to lead our lives on our own terms so we can make decisions for ourselves and yet we have a Congress that has morphed into a self-serving, power hungry, out of control, financially mismanaged monster that is the single largest enemy of freedom.

I ask again, why would anyone NOT hate Congress?
