The New York Times just loves hopelessness

The NYT just loves hopelessness, they wallow in it, relish it. Permanent unemployment is just the sort of thing that feels comfortable and right for their world view.

America is better that that...much better. Economic freedom has always been the secret to American prosperity and it can be again. We don't need Barack Obama or Tim Geithner or Mitch McConnell or Harry Reid or Nancy Pelosi for economic success, they are irrelevant.

We DO need freedom and entrepreneurs and employees who are free to chose their path to prosperity.

Economists fear that the nascent recovery will leave more people behind than in past recessions, failing to create jobs in sufficient numbers to absorb the record-setting ranks of the long-term unemployed.

Call them the new poor: people long accustomed to the comforts of middle-class life who are now relying on public assistance for the first time in their lives — potentially for years to come.
