Senators Overbey, Faulk and Jackson denied us a vote

on a constitutional amendment to put some teeth in the Copeland Cap. Here is a previous post with a bit more explanation about the Copeland Cap.

All three Senators abstained from voting on this important constitutional amendment and had any one of the three voted YES, it would have moved to the Senate floor

This Judiciary Committee vote was simply to move the resolution to the floor so it could be considered by the full Senate....and the full Senate would have simply been voting to allow the people of Tennessee a vote on this Constitutional amendment.

If there ever was a TeaParty principle vote, this is it.
