Every campaigning politician talks about cutting government but almost never has the guts to act after they are elected.

Taxpayers in Tennessee and across the country have made extraordinarily difficult cuts to their family budgets over the last three years. However, most of our elected representatives are afraid to even discuss specific cuts to government budgets. They act as if maintaining the status quo is an act of great bravery. Taxpayers should be so lucky.
