Tennessee Board of Regents Rip-Off Continues Unabated

Tennessee College Students and their parents continue to be mugged each year by absolutely ridiculous tuition increases. Students go deeper in debt and more poor people waste their money on the lottery...and TN higher ed just keeps absorbing money like a dry sponge.

Tuition could go up by as much as 22 percent for students who go to technical centers, and it could go up 10 percent each year, for two years, at state colleges and universities. That includes Middle Tennessee State University, Tennessee State University, Austin Peay State University and Tennessee Tech University.

The Chattanooga Times Free Press reports that students who take 12 or fewer hours of classes would pay 6.3 percent more. Tuition would increase by 11.4 percent for those taking 18 hours.

The board approved a 5.5 percent increase last year.
