WASHINGTON — New estimates from the White House on Friday predict the budget deficit will reach a record $1.47 trillion this year. The government is borrowing 41 cents of every dollar it spends.
Peter Orszag the Budget Director, who is getting the hell out of dodge with his pending resignation, in the understatement of all time, says:
the numbers represent a "fiscal situation that requires attention."
We are governed by a group bent on federal government financial suicide.
