Texas Tea Party groups protest Senator Cornyn

The Tyler Tea Party is "calling out" U.S. Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, at noon today at the Regions Bank Building, 100 E. Ferguson St. Suite 1004.
The group is protesting alleged interferences by Cornyn, in his role as the National Republican Senatorial Committee chairman, during an Alaska Re-publican primary race between Tea Party candidate Joe Miller and incumbent Sen. Lisa Murkowski.
Some of Miller's supporters have suggested the committee is meddled in the absentee ballot count process. Sen. Murkowski conceded after more than 17,000 absentee ballots were counted and with Miller clung to a 1,700-vote lead with all precincts reporting.
Miller previously was assured by Cornyn that the committee will remain neutral in the process.
