The state capitol was the scene of dueling political rallies Wednesday evening.
Several hundred people gathered on the steps of the state capitol in a show support and solidarity with union workers in Wisconsin. Republican lawmakers in Wisconsin have introduced a bill that would cripple the ability of unions to negotiate on behalf of public employees for better wages and working conditions.
Across the street from the capitol, dozens of Tea Party activists staged a counter-rally. They argue that Wisconsin, like Georgia, faces a budget crisis and that cuts and that tough fiscal choices are a necessity.
